All Schools Directed to Close On this New Official Date Released By MoE

Ministry of education has released the official revised 2022/2023 term dates for schools.

Take Note that there were adjustments for 2nd term midterm break that was  extended from 11th  to 18th August 2022.

New 2022 Pre-primary and primary schools terms dates

• 2022 KCPE:The  KCPE begins on 28th November 2022 and ends on 1st December 2022.

The New 2022/2023 Lower School Calendar

This is  applicable to all students in pre-primary and primary school pupils.

• Term 2: Opening Dates (11th July 2022 2022), closing dates (16th September 2022) (10 weeks)  
• Holiday: official from 17th September 2022 to 25th September 2022 (7 days)
• Term 3: The  Opening Dates (26th September 2022), closing dates (25th November 2022)
• Holiday: from 26th November 2022 to 22nd January 2023 (7 weeks)

The 2022  Secondary schools term dates (opening and closing)

• 2022 KCSE:Note that  KCSE begins on 25th November 2022 and ends on 23rd December 2022.

The 2022/2023 High School Calendar

It is a calendar is applicable to all secondary school students.

• For Term 2: Opening Dates (11th July 2022 2022), closing dates (16th September 2022) (10 weeks)
• The Dates  for Holiday for second term: from 17th September 2022 to 25th September 2022 (7 days)
• Term 3: The Opening Dates (26th September 2022), closing dates (25th November 2022)
• The Holiday for third term: from 26th November 2022 to 22nd January 2023 (7 weeks)

• Official 2022 School calendar highlight

  • All Schools will not have mid break or half term in Term 3
  • The KCSE and KCPE exams will be on December and November
  • In addition, there will be a break of 7 weeks to allow candidates do their national national exams.
