A 13-week first term that begins on January 8 and concludes on April 5 is described in a circular dated October 13 and issued by Director General Elyas Abdi. Between February 29 and March 3, students will have a midterm break. From April 6 to April 26, they will have a three-week holiday
The longest and second term will start on April 29 and last for 14 weeks till August 2. From June 20 to June 23, there will be a three-day break. After that, beginning on August 5, students will have a three-week break. august 26 marks the start of the third term, which will last nine weeks and end on October 25.
From October 28 to October 31, national exams, including the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment and Kenya Intermediate Level Education Assessment, will be given.
The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education won’t be administered for the first time in more than 30 years. As the Competency-Based Curriculum is implemented, the 8-4-4 system in primary schools is being phased away. The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education tests will be held the following year from November 4 to November 22. Then, starting on October 28, a lengthy holiday will extend until January 3, 2025 The same schedule will be followed by colleges that train teachers.
