MoE Advertises 1,000 Internship Vacancies; How to Apply, Requirements & Deadline
The Ministry of Education (MoE), State Department for Basic Education has announced 1,000 internship vacancies under the Digital Literacy Programme (DLP), Cohort 3.
In a notice released on Tuesday, September 5, the ministry will deploy successful candidates to schools at Sub County Level, where, in addition to acquiring practical skills and knowledge, they will play a critical role in supporting virtual learning and other related digital platforms. “The interns will be paid a stipend by the State Department, at a rate as determined by the Government” the notice read in part.
The interns will be awarded a certificate by the State Department on successful completion of the 12 months non-renewable internship programme
For appointment a candidate must have graduated not earlier than 2019, and be Willing to be deployed to any Sub County Education office within the country on full time basis.
The applicants should posses a Bachelor’s degree in Education with specialization in Information Communication Technology or a Bachelor’s degree in ICT; or a Diploma in ICT or ICT Integration in Education, from a recognized institution;
“Knowledgeable in networking and infrastructure, applications development, information security and project management” the ministry stated
They should be able to integrate ICT with Education in terms of E-Learning and content development and be Skilled to carry out research and innovation to support the DLP.
Internship Duties and Responsibilities
i. Support of E-Learning and content development in line with the schemes of work
ii. Providing class support and training of Primary School teachers in use of digital literacy devices
iii. Supporting implementation of the Digital Learning Programme
iv. Carrying out innovations to enable schools improve on use of digital learning
v. Providing support in safe, secure and ethical use of technology in learning
vi. Assisting teachers by integrating ICT in delivery of teaching, learning and assessment
vii. Supporting school staff with development and production of key school policies and procedures
viii. Providing first line support and maintenance of ICT services in the schools
