More County Directors moved in mass transfers
The Ministry of Education has made more changes on its County Directors of Education through transfers from one station to another.
In the latest movements, Pamela Akelo who was the Busia Deputy County Director of Education goes to Trans-Nzoia on promotion as the new County Director of Education (CDE). She replaces Luke Chebet who has also been promoted and deployed to the Coast as the Regional Director of Education (RDE). It is understood that Akelo was at one time the Siaya County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Education.
Also promoted is Simon Wamae who has been stationed at the Coast RDE’s office. He will now be the new West Pokot CDE effectively taking over from Francis Shikanda who has been sent to the Western RDE’s office.
Similarly, Henry Luvanga who has been the Sub-County Director of Education (SCDE) for Kuresoi South has been promoted to a full director and posted to Turkana as the new CDE. He will take the place of Josephine Walela who has been moved to the Western RDE’s office for assignment of duties.
Also affected by the changes is Victoria Mulili, the Taita Taveta CDE. She has now been taken to Nakuru County in a similar capacity. She will take over from Fredrick Osewe who has been deployed to the Nyanza RDE’s office for new duties. Mulili will be replaced by her counterpart, Khalif Hirey who has been the Kilifi CDE.
The Baringo CDE, S.M Mwashegwa has also been hit by a similar fate. He now proceeds to Tana River in a similar position. He will replace Khalif Sheik Isaak whose fate was not immediately known.
Also hit by the changes is the long serving CDE, James Nyagah who will now move to the Central region to work from the RDE’s office. He had been stationed in Isiolo.
On the other hand, Leonard Kabaki who has been stationed at the Western RDE’s office has been promoted to full director and deployed to Siaya County as the new CDE. He replaces Nicholas Oyucho who has been sent to the Nyanza RDE’s office to work from there.
Also elevated is Rosemary Birenge who now becomes the Kisumu CDE. Birenge is the immediate former Mumias East SCDE. She takes over from Peter Munene who has been moved to Central to become the deputy RDE.
Other changes included the Coast RDE, Adan Roble who has now been moved to North Eastern region in a similar capacity. He replaces Yusuff Karaiyu who has reportedly been recalled to Jogoo House. Roble has been replaced by Luke Chebet who has been the Trans-Nzoia CDE.
kwetu News had on Thursday this week reported about the many changes on regional, county and sub county directors who had been moved from one station to another on promotion or what was perceived as demotion. Others were moved to new zones in similar capacities. Some officers were, however retained and were not affected by the current changes especially drawn from Central, parts of Rift Valley and Eastern regions.
