On Friday, September 15th, the Principal Secretary for Education, Belio Kipsang, issued an important update concerning the upcoming national examinations. In a written statement, Kipsang revealed that preparations for the 2023 national examinations are in full swing.

He underscored the significance of maintaining a controlled environment within schools, urging school administrations to refrain from hosting intra-school activities and discouraging visits by parents.

The ministry of education has made it explicitly clear that, during the third term, parents will not be granted access to schools to ensure the utmost safety and integrity of the national examinations.

Moreover, schools are scheduled to conclude their academic activities on October 27th to facilitate the commencement of the national examinations.

It’s worth noting that the KCPE 2023 will mark the final iteration of the 8-4-4 education system. In addition to this, Belio Kipsang announced that the Ministry of Education is set to promptly disburse funds to schools, a welcome development for educational institutions.
