- Ministry of Interior Kithure Kindiki on Thursday confirmed that the two days will be observed as public holidays giving Kenyans a four-day Christmas weekend.
The government has declared Tuesday, December 27 and Monday, January 2, public holidays.

This year’s Christmas Day and New Year’s Day fall on Sundays while Boxing Day is on a Monday.
