Former CJ David Maraga Forced to Clear the Air After Tweet Claiming he Had Congratulated DP Ruto

Former Chief Justice David Maraga has broken Silence after a tweet went viral claiming that he had congratulated His Excellency the Deputy President William Ruto.

In his message, he has made it clear that Kenyans should ignore the tweet claiming that he had congratulated the president elect noting that it is Faye.

The truth claims that the former chief justice had indicated that William Samoei Ruto had won fairly and squarely on the just-concluded Presidential elections and he should be shown him not later than August 30th this year.

This comes a day after the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance presidential candidate Raila Amollo Odinga and his running mate Martha Karua presented a petition in court disputing the election of Deputy President William Ruto.

The Supreme Court has until September 5 to deliver its verdict on the nine petitions filed challenging the validity of President-Elect William Ruto victory in the August 9 Election.

The Supreme Court Presidential Election Rules, 2017 stipulate that Ruto and other respondents such as the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) and its commissioners are supposed to file their responses to the more than seven petitions lodged on Monday within four days
