Governor Lusaka names his cabinet

Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has finally named his cabinet in what he termed as a list that has complied with constitution’s principles of inclusivity, protection of the interests of the minorities and marginalized communities as well as ensuring gender balance.

Lusaka nominated David Mamili Wanyonyi from Webuye East as member in charge of Education and vocational training. Dr. Mamili holds a PHD in education.

Herbert Kibunguchi from Webuye West is the nominee for Environment, Natural Resources, Water and Energy. Kibunguchi holds a bachelor’s of science in Civil Engineering.

Caroylne Khalayi from Kabuchai is the nominee for Trade Energy and Industrialization.She holds a Bachelor’s of Commerce in Accounting

Bonveture Chengek from Mt. Elgon has been nominated in the Roads, Transport, Infrastructure and Public Works docket.

Dr. Andrew Wekesa Wamalwa from Kanduyi has been nominated to head the Health and Sanitization docket. He holds a Masters Degree in family Medicine.

Nancy Charity Kibaba from Sirisia is to Head the Gender, Culture Youth and Sports docket while Monicah Salano Fedha from Tongaren is nominated to head the Agriculture, Livestock Fisheries, Irrigation and Cooperatives.

Wekesa Douglas Sasita from Bumula has been nominated to the Lands, Urban Planning, Housing and Municipalities.

Benedict Emachar who represents the special interest groups has been nominated to oversee Public Service Management and Administration.

During the announcement Lusaka also appointed Josephat Kangale as Senior liason officer and Joyshila Kilon’g as the liason officer in the Nairobi office.

Dr. Caleb Wata was appointed the Director Medical Services while Bramwel Simiyu was appointed the Economic Advisor.

Amos Makokha will be the Legal Advisor while Caren Wanyonyi comes in as the Special Programs Advisor.

Deputy Governor Jennifer Mbatiany has been given another role where she will double up as in charge of investments, partnerships, resource mobilization while working hand in hand with Special Programs.
