How to Apply for TSC Transfer Online; Procedure

The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) in Kenya has been proactive in digitizing its services to enhance efficiency and convenience for teachers across the country. One significant digital advancement introduced in February 2021 is the Online Teacher Transfer Application process. Typically, transfer requests are reviewed by the Appointment Board at the end of each year, although the Commission reserves the right to make transfers based on specific criteria.

To be considered for a transfer, teachers must initiate the process through their institution’s head. The necessary transfer application forms can be obtained from TSC offices or their official website. Once completed, these forms must be submitted by the institution’s head to TSC or its agents. Transfers for primary school teachers within a county are overseen by the TSC County Director, while transfers outside the county fall under the jurisdiction of TSC headquarters, including transfers to tertiary institutions.

Transfer requests are acknowledged promptly, and decisions from the Appointment Board are communicated to teachers in due course. Transfers are contingent on the availability of vacancies and replacements.

This article serves as a comprehensive guide for teachers, providing insight into navigating the TSC online portal and understanding the transfer application process.
