KUCCPS Announces portal opening dates 2023
KUCCPS 2023/2024 placement date. Following the release of the KCSE 2022 examination results, Kenya universities, and college central placement services (KUCCPS) will soon invite 401,584 students to apply for the available slots in various higher learning institutions.
- 204 TVET colleges including 17 that are under various government ministries,
- 3 secondary TTCs,
- 32 primary TTCs and
- 69 universities.
KUUCPS for the first time will admit TTC learners through it after the government through the ministry of education directed it to do so.
In addition, more training institutes under the government ministries have signed up for KUCCPS student placement hence their courses will be listed alongside those of the ministry of education TVET institutions.
NEW REGISTERED INSTITUTIONS TO KUCCPS
The latest addition TVET institution is the Kengen Geothermal training center which has also submitted its courses for the first years 2023-2024.
Other institutions include:
- Tom Mboya labor college
- Kenya wildlife service training institute
- Kenya school of revenue administration
- Morendat institute of oil and gas
- Railway training institute
- Kenya school of agriculture
- Kenya institute of surveying and mapping
- Kenya institute of mass and communication
- Kenya institute of highways and building technology
- kenya industrial training institute
- Bukura agriculture college
- Kenya forestry college
- Kenya water institute
- Bndari maritime academy.
All these institutions are not directly attached to the ministry of education but are either affiliated with parastatals or government ministries.
KUCCPS 2023/2024 placement date
They joined the kuccps placement because of the fairness, efficiency, and equity it possesses hence attracting many students from all over the country.
The government will provide sponsorship to the students depending on the available budget after the placement exercise.
All KCSE 2022 candidates who scored mean grades between C plain and E are to consider courses that are offered in all these institutions when the KUCCPS portal is opened.
KUCCPS undertakes a number of activities in preparation before it announces the start of course application and revision.
In the first step, kuccps gets the kcse examination result data, analyses and then uploads it to the placement database.
SLOTS DISTRIBUTIONS IN INSTITUTIONS
Similarly, Universities, TVET institutions, and teachers’ training colleges submit the courses into which they wish to admit learners and the number of slots they have per program.
Currently, KUCCPS is engaging with the commission of university education and the technical and vocational education and training authority(TVETA)
They have confirmed the programs and the capacities in the respective institution they regulate have been approved to offer.
KUCCPS is now uploading the approved programmes on the placement database after the validation exercise.
A total of 125,715 slots approved in artisan, crafts, and diploma courses in TVET institutions.
universities have 249,359 slots for new students in degree programmes, and 6,205 for admission to diploma programmes. TTCs have 20,305 vacancies for the KCSE 2022 candidates bringing the total available capacities in institutions to 401,584
KUCCPS FIRST AND REVISION OF COURSES DATES 2023-2024
KUCCPS has not yet announced the dates for the first and revisions of courses because it has not finished publishing the necessary data and information therefore KCSE 2022 candidates must wait for official communication.
