President Ruto signs Executive order organising government

President William Ruto has issued and signed an executive order reorganizing his government to factor in the newly created post of the Prime Cabinet Secretary.
The order NO.1 of 2022 states the functions of Musalia Mudavadi who was appointed to the position last week when the President unveiled his cabinet. With the appointment, Mudavadi is now the third most powerful government official after President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua.
The order also ratifies the roles and functions of the key positions including that of the President, Deputy President, Prime CS and Chief of Staff.
It also assigns functions and institutions among Ministries and State Departments for orderly conduct and coordination of Government functions. Kenyan missions and commissions are also listed.
The functions of the expanded Foreign Affairs ministry including diaspora affairs are clearly stated.
Kenyan missions abroad, commissions and independent offices are also listed in the 162 page order.
“FOR the orderly conduct and coordination of Government functions; I, WILLIAM SAMOEI RUTO, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces, by the authority vested in me by the Constitution and Statute Laws of Kenya hereby order and direct: I.
