Ruto Under Pressure Over The CDF Funds And Fate Of CBC

President William Ruto has been asked by a number of Members of Parliament to consider the CDF funds. The legislators have noted that, any step or move to cut the flow of the funds will affect schools.

In the face of the Kenya Kwanza government approach and proposals to the CDF cut, the public has expressed concerns. However, according to the ruling regime, the devolution can take the place of CDF funds.

The Member of Parliament For Emuhaya and the Chairman, KUPPET, Omboko Milemba, has sounded a warning to Ruto and the Cabinet Secretaries for Education Mr. Ezekiel Machogu to consult on such sensitive issues before getting rid off them.

He pointed out that the schools being denied funding are pubic and that goes against the constitution. Hon. Milemba noted that, most schools do not have laboratories due to inadequate funding.

The legislator challenged the ruling party to increase monies in the CDF docket so that many schools, and public facilities can be constructed towards achieving vision 2030.

“For Members of Parliament to build laboratories, the government must increase the money for the kitties.  Let us not forget the schools that were built in secondary schools. They should be allowed to use them. A fence should not limit the use of classes,” the Legislator said.

The opposition wing, being led by Raila Odinga, equally expressed their disappointment in the manner in which President Ruto is leading the Country.

Suna East Member of Parliament Hon. Junet Mohammed, slammed Kenya Kwanza government, stating that their move is meant to kill the growth and transformation of the Interior parts of the Nation.
