Schools to close this month and open late in January 2023

Following the implementation of education reforms, the Republic of Kenya has been identified as one of the most advanced education performers in both Eastern and Southern Africa. Some of these reforms include the implementation of a new competency-based curriculum, the reformation of professional teacher development, and the notable textbook policy.

The Republic of Kenya appears to understand that education is one of the best long-term investments that a country and an individual can make.

Consistent with some of the benefits education can provide a society or a country, such as the promotion of equitable growth, gender equality, poverty reduction, and illiteracy reduction.

Due to implementation in the system  and marking of exams which will take up to 20/01/2023, both primary and secondary schools will start opening on 23/01/2023 which will be on a Monday
