TSC CBC training venues The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has decided to exclude primary school teachers who have been assigned to junior secondary schools (JSS) from the training that is slated to begin next week.

In March, approximately 7,400 PTE teachers who qualified for deployment were assigned to educate grade 7 students.

TSC, on the other hand, maintains that only recently hired JSS instructors will attend the training from October 9th to 13th.

On Monday of next week, 56,000 Grade 7 teachers will begin training in the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC).

All began their training on October 2 and continued through October 4.

The TOTs (both SNE and normal) will thereafter be trained by Master Trainers.

Following the posting of 18,000 intern teachers to junior secondary schools by TSC in late August and early September, the instructors are now receiving training.

The instruction coincides with the beginning of the national writing assessment for students in Grade 7 in October.

The tests have already been made available by Knec for schools to download, print, and give to students.
