Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu Friday released the 2022 form four KCSE national exam results.
Prof Machogu announced the outcome to the public after meeting and briefing President William Ruto at State House in Nairobi.
The education CS announced that 173,345 candidates scored C+ and above. A total of 1,146 candidates scored grade A.
In 2022, about 841,416 candidates sat for the KCSE exams from different parts of the country, which were conducted between December 2 and December 23.
1,140 candidates obtained an overall A grade in the KCSE 2022 exams compared to 1138, in 2021.
173,345 candidates scored C+ and above, hitting the minimum university entry mark.
The number of candidates with D+ and above was 522, 588 (59.14 percent) compared with 442, 251 (53.29 percent) in 2021.
Only 30,822 scored E.
How to Check KCSE Results 2022 via KNEC SMS Code
To get KCSE results 2022 by SMS send an SMS with your Index Number to 20076 for Safaricom, Airtel and Telcom networks. Simply send your full index number (11 digits) followed by KCSE to KNEC SMS Code 20076.
Students are also advised not to have spacing between the index number and the initials KCSE.
How to Check KCSE Results 2022 Online
To check your 2022 KNEC KCSE results online, go to the KNEC website: http://www.knec-portal.ac.ke/ and enter your Index number.
To use this method to check 2022 results you only need to remember your index number and access your mobile phone or computer .
Procedure:
- Visit the Official KNEC website (knec.ac.ke)
- Check for the KCSE Results tab, click on it
- Select the year you sat for the Exams
- Enter your Index number.
- Finally click the Submit button.
- Your KCSE results should show on the screen after a while.
Note: Due to the urgency and high demand for the results, the Ministry of Education advises that the platform may experience delays and asked the students to be patient.
