“We shall Reject This” Junet Mohammed Reacts Over The Proposed Changes in the IEBC Commission

ODM Leader Junet Mohammed has reacted over the proposed changes in the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Act as new details emerge.

The Suna East Member of Parliament has informed that as the Azimio they are not going to allow changes in the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission selection Committee as per the bill tabled in the Parliament.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Amendment Bill 2022, has proposed changes in the Commission demanding that there should be changes in the IEBC Commission Selection panel to have one man and one woman nominated in the Parliamentary Service Commission, One Person nominated by the Public Service Commission, One Person nominated by the Political Parties Liason Committee, One Person Nominated by the Law Society of Kenya and another two persons nominated by the interreligious Council of Kenya.

 

Junet has said  that “We shall reject this both in parliament and public. Now, this is the real state capture and 2027 Elections. What is the hurry!!”
