DP Rigathi Gachagua Receives President William Ruto At JKIA After Jetting Back Into The Country
President William Ruto has jetted back into the country two days after visiting Uganda and Tanzania respectively. The President touched down this evening at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and was received by Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, and National Assembly Majority leader Kimani Ichungwa amongst others.
President William Ruto while accompanied by First Lady Rachel Ruto left the country on Saturday evening to join Ugandans in marking their 60th Independence Day on Sunday 9th October 2022. The President also held a meeting with Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni with their discussion centered on improving Intra-East African trade relations and boosting diplomatic relationships. His visit to Uganda also came after Museveni’s son Muhoozi caused diplomatic jitters through his media posts against Nairobi.
The President later yesterday left Uganda for Tanzania where he earlier today met with President Samia Suluhu. In Tanzania, the President continued with his exploration of ways of expanding business opportunities and boosting trade between Kenya and Tanzania.
