Interested tutors were advised to apply for the various posts through the TSC job portal – www.teachersonline.go.ke.
TSC clearly underlined that it would not consider manual applications.
“Applicants shall be required to upload the letter of deployment to the current responsibility during application.
“Candidates who will be successful in the interviews shall be required to present valid Chapter six documents before they are considered for appointment,” read the advert in part.
The deadline for application was set for January 23, 2023.
In an advertisement dated Thursday, December 22, TSC noted that it was seeking to promote 14,713 teachers to leadership positions in various secondary and primary schools across the country.
The Commission also made it clear that it was aiming its attention at both regular school teachers and Special Needs Education (SNE) professionals.
Most of the positions will go to primary schools, where there are 7,720 vacancies for Deputy Headteacher II and 2,733 for headteachers. The highest number of vacancies in secondary schools is 1,330 for Secondary Teacher I.
Further, TSC announced that it was seeking to recruit 1,021 school heads to various institutions in Arid and Semi-Arid counties such as Kajiado, Isiolo, Garissa, Samburu, Taita Taveta, Tana River, Turkana, Wajir, and West Pokot.
On the other hand, 4 vacant positions for Chief Principal positions in various teachers’ training colleges were advertised.
