IT Expert Finally Responds to Githongo’s claims on Whether IEBC Portal was Hacked
Kenyans have woken to a morning shocker after a team of IT experts confirmed that IEBC servers were hacked and tempered.
IT expert Benson Wesonga, who is also a cryptography, told The Standard that from an analysis of documents that were sent to him by former anti-graft Czar John Githongo, his conclusion is that IEBC servers were accessed by persons who would delete or alter the documents sent through the servers.
Mr Githongo’s affidavit, filed at Supreme Court alleges that rogue techies were granted access to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) systems where they manipulated the form 34As coming from polling stations.
Azimio la Umoja party leader Raila Odinga and his running-mate Martha Karua filed a presidential election petition at the Supreme court seeking a recount and retally of the votes and a declaration that they were the winners of the polls.
However, Kenya Kwanza MP Silvasnus Osoro and three voters have moved to court seeking orders to block the Supreme Court from declaring Raila as the president-elect.
